SIGHTSEEING AROUND
A traditional festival in which people who are proud of their skills parade around with strong “Kanto” poles. The Kanto lanterns are likened to ears of rice, and the hanging lanterns are likened to rice bales to pray for a bountiful harvest.

A Western-style building built at the end of the Meiji era as the former head office of Akita Bank. The exterior is Renaissance style and the interior is baroque. It is designated as a national important cultural property.
